Time: 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (1 hour lunch break included)
Cost: $500 per person
Who should attend: All Math Educators Grades 4-7, including Teachers, Special Education Teachers, and Coaches in the grade levels.
Developing computational fluency with fractions, decimals, and percent presents enormous challenges to both students and educators. This institute has been designed to help educators address these challenges. As part of this institute, we will explore the following questions:
This institute will also focus on how educators can use guided mini-lessons to develop their students' mental-math and paper/pencil strategies with rational number. Educators will have the opportunity to:
Analyze student responses to think about ways to support their mathematical reasoning and ability to communicate that reasoning with precision and clarity.
