Elementary Mathematics

Audrey Bellovin is a highly accomplished math educator with over three decades of experience in the field. Her commitment to enhancing student understanding of mathematics is evident through her dedication to professional development for teachers, parent learning events, and helping implement rigorous math resources across various districts.  A proud graduate of the Mathematics Leadership Program at Bank Street College, she carries that learning into the work she does with teachers.

Audrey’s achievements in math education include being recognized as Math Teacher of the Year for Nassau County, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to math education. She has presented at many local and national conferences, including NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) where she shared her expertise in teaching mathematics for deeper understanding.

As a math coach in NYC and Long Island, Audrey has worked closely with teachers and administrators to improve the math curriculum and implement effective teaching strategies. She continued to provide professional development for teachers, ensuring that they were equipped with the necessary skills, and deep understanding to deliver high-quality math instruction.

Audrey’s passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom, and she became a building level administrator. In this role, she worked with new and experienced teachers to help them further develop their skills. Audrey has led districts in evaluating new math curricula and has worked to select materials used in classrooms.  She has also served on math curriculum planning committees, working alongside other administrators to cement her reputation as a leader in math education.

Through her innovative approach to teaching, Audrey has inspired many students and fellow educators alike. Her commitment to improving math education and equipping teachers with the skills they need to inspire students is a testament to her dedication to the field.
