Sarah Radke
Upper Elementary & Secondary Mathematics
Sarah Radke works closely with upper elementary, middle and high school mathematics teachers to plan, implement, and reflect on student-centered, mathematically rich lessons. Sarah believes deeply that teaching is a form of activism, and that learning and doing mathematics involves investigation, exploration, creativity, and importantly, the bravery and vulnerability to make mistakes. As a coach, teacher educator, and education researcher, Sarah is committed to developing new accounts of what might count as “learning mathematics” and mathematics in general that might support the success of a broader set of mathematics learners.
Outside of Metamorphosis, Sarah studies learning in out-of-school settings, teaches courses in secondary math methods, and serves as a research mentor and field supervisor for pre-service teachers at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
